"Mango Gods" is the fifth installment of "Beastly Detective." The Badgers of the Far Forest Police are sent on a mission to the African savannah to investigate the kidnapping of a baby giraffe, Rafik, from the Exquisite Giraffes. Mortal danger is a constant companion for the Badgers of the Police. After all, the Far Forest spares no one: neither strangers nor friends. It is a terrifying and dangerous place, where cruelty and lawlessness reign, brutal sacrifices are made, and the law of the strong prevails.

But for a brave and honest animal, the Sparse Forest can also become a place of power, helping them find themselves and true love. Elder Badger, Badgercat, and Vulture Vulture don't back down from challenges. They conduct their investigations, guided by the just principles by which the inhabitants of their native Far Forest live.

However, solving this complex case doesn't mean victory. The inhabitants of the Sparse Forest must be told the painful truth that has been revealed. But the powers that be don't need the truth.
