There's a hyena living in a cage at the zoo. She smells terrible. Then one day, she confesses to the main character, a young, inquisitive man, that she's been bewitched and is actually a princess. To break the spell, he needs to invite her over. The young man invites her over, prepares a festive dinner, and even opens a can of her favorite stew. The princess arrives promptly at four, eats everything with gusto, and then confesses she's not a princess. But everyone seems pleased.
