Zinovy ​​Yefimovich Gerdt was called a "genius of the bit part"—among the dozens of roles he played in theater and film, almost none were leading roles. But even the smallest of these roles left a lasting impression on audiences: after all, they embodied all his talent, all his uncompromising spirit, all his self-respect.
