A girl who is almost always happy dreams of making those around her happy too. And adults can be so slow-witted sometimes... But Dunne will fix everything! She just needs to remind them that love is definitely better than nothing. And at the end of her long journey, the road will lead Dunne to where she is needed most.

Eva Eriksson is one of Sweden's most famous and beloved children's writers and illustrators. Born in 1949 in Halmstad, she debuted as a book artist in 1977. Since then, Eva has written and illustrated children's books. Eva Eriksson's work has had a significant influence on the development of children's book illustration in Sweden.
She has worked with many writers: Barbro Lindgren, Ulf Stark, Christina Björk, Roose Lagercrantz, but is particularly renowned for her illustrations to Ulf Nilsson's books. Eva's pencil drawings are characterized by a warm humor and have an intimate, almost intimate feel, and her strength is conveying characters' emotions through movement and facial expressions.
In 2004, she was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. In 2001, she received the Astrid Lindgren Award, which is awarded annually in Sweden for Swedish-language works on the author's birthday, November 14 (founded by the Swedish publishing house Rabén & Sjögrens).
Eva Eriksson has also been awarded the European Prize for Children's Literature of the Province of Trento (Italy, 1980), the Elsa Beskow Prize (Swedish Library Association, 1981), the Gold Prize of the Biennial of Children's Book Illustrations in Bratislava (1981), the Heffaklump Prize of the Swedish newspaper Expressen (1981), and many others.
