This book is for children forced by war to adapt to new conditions, in many cases a new language and country. It consists of several stories and creative activities, developed using art therapy and fairy tale therapy methods. The book is bilingual: the text on each spread is duplicated in Ukrainian and Russian. The book has been reviewed by a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. The author's annotation states: "Our audience is children aged 6 to 10-11, both those living in Ukraine and refugees. Everything that is happening now is a very difficult, traumatic situation for a child. This book, like any art therapy, is intended to aid in the psychological recovery of children. We understand, of course, that this book does not replace work with a psychotherapist or psychologist, but it can easily complement such work or be used independently." In essence, “Going to the Light” is a training book that will help a child, through creativity, overcome (at least partially) the burden that the war has brought upon him.”
