Arkady Inin, Natasha Pavlovskaya. Utesov. A Lifelong Song

The book, written by renowned screenwriters A. Inin and N. Pavlovskaya, is not a documentary biography of the artist, but a fictional novel. It was born from the recollections of acquaintances, relatives, friends, and even enemies of the great artist. Everything described in the book could well have happened to L. Osipovich, but whether it did or did not is unknown, as memoirs are biased. Utesov's fate, like a mirror, reflects the history of the entire country over nearly a century. The book was adapted into a film, in which Utesov is played by Marat Basharov.
