Emmanuel Guibert, Marc Boutavant. Ariol. The Mighty Rabbit

Emmanuel Guibert (born 1964) is one of the most respected French comics artists, winner of the René Goscinny Prize for screenwriting. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 1994, a chance meeting between Emmanuel and American World War II veteran Alan Cope marked the beginning of a strong friendship and the publication of the graphic novel Alan's War, which won the Grand Prix of the French Association of Comics Critics and Journalists. Together with Frédéric Lemercier, Emmanuel also created the award-winning graphic novel Photographer, which has been translated into dozens of languages ​​and tells the story of the Doctors Without Borders mission in Afghanistan in the 1980s through the eyes of the great reporter Didier Lefebvre. He is also the "father" of the children's comics series Ariole.

Marc Boutavant (born 1970) is a renowned French illustrator and author of children's comics and books. Many children and parents are familiar with the artist's work from Djeco toys and the animated films about Muk and Chavapy's bicycle journeys. Over 20 years ago, he and Emmanuel Guibert created the Ariol comics. They were first published in the magazine J'aime lire, then as separate books. Four collections of the Ariol comics have already been published in Russia.
