The fate of German emigrants in America. They fled fascism, using every possible and impossible means and methods. They fled to the last bastion of freedom and independence. However, America, for some reason, is in no hurry to greet them with enthusiasm. What awaits the fugitives is... the decent and friendly indifference of the inhabitants of a country that has long forgotten what war and totalitarian rule are. And each of the emigrants must rebuild their lives in a place where they are offered only one thing: to take care of themselves.
