Dutch scholar Evelyn Crone's bestseller debunks countless myths about teenagers and restores our faith in adolescence as a crucial stage in life. Why do children disobey us? Is it possible to help a child establish a daily routine? What determines cognitive skills, and how can we teach teenagers to stick to their own plans? Are social media beneficial, and how can we combat gadget addiction?
The adolescent brain develops in a unique way, offering its owner tremendous opportunities for self-development and identity exploration. It is teenagers who, by giving free rein to their creative impulses, create new subcultures and musical styles, are keen observers of new ideas, and drive innovation.
