American writer Henry Miller is known to the reading public for his novels "Tropic of Cancer," "Tropic of Capricorn," "Black Spring," and the novella "Quiet Days in Clichy." The "Rose of the Crucifixion" trilogy—the novels "Sexus," "Plexus," and "Nexus"—is being translated into Russian for the first time in its entirety. The author tells the story of tormented love and the agonizing search for self, of emotional and physical suffering, of a true crucifixion, exhausting yet transformative, in whose soul, like a rose, new life blossoms.
The Rosy Crucifixion (some translations of The Rosy Crucifixion) is an autobiographical trilogy by Henry Miller, published in Paris between 1949 and 1960. It consists of the novels Sexus, Plexus, and Nexus. The trilogy describes the writer's New York period up to his first departure for Paris, his meeting with his second wife, June Edith Smith (known as Mona in the novels), his first tentative attempts at writing, and extensive reflections on the writers and thinkers who influenced his creative work.
