Gustav Meyrink. Selected Works

Gustav Meyrink's works became some of the first bestsellers of the 20th century. He is one of a group of writers who made the literary "Prague School" famous (remember Kafka, Rilke, Perutz, etc.). The attributes of Gustav Meyrink's prose are well known: esoteric, mysterious, hermetic, connected to occult knowledge, and also laconic, tightly composed, free of affectation, and refraining from "prettiness."
The author of the famous "Golem", the novels "The Green Face", "Walpurgis Night", "The White Dominican", "The Angel of the Western Window", Meyrink still enjoys increased reader attention today, at the beginning of the 21st century.
