Elena Kostyuchenko. My favorite country

"My Beloved Country" is a book by Russian journalist and former special correspondent for Novaya Gazeta, Elena Kostyuchenko. It's called "My Beloved Country" and tells the story of Russia's slow slide into war. Kostyuchenko is one of Russia's most renowned journalists. During the first weeks of the full-scale Russian invasion of 2022, she worked in Ukraine and published several articles for Novaya Gazeta that became important evidence of the war and the crimes committed by Russian troops. During the war, Elena Kostyuchenko was forced to leave Russia for Germany. Later, in Germany, she was apparently subjected to an attempt to poison her.
