A large part of my life was tied to biology, but a twist of fate carried me to the other side. Those years left a significant mark on my life. It was then that I discovered the kinship between the medical profession and the work of a priest, and from there came many complex questions: where are the boundaries of human freedom and where do the lines lie between health and illness, between life and death...

The novel "The Kukotsky Case" doesn't answer these questions, but it does offer reflections on the subject, an inner movement toward the direction from which answers might come. Sooner or later, there comes a moment in every person's life when these reflections become inevitable.
