Art expert Mr. Zoom and his assistant, Léonard, are tasked with studying and cataloging the treasures hidden in the basements of the world's largest museum. After months of intense labor, they are forced to reconsider the scale of the Museum and the scope of the work ahead: bizarre, absurd basements, as if straight out of Franz Kafka or M.C. Escher, recede ever deeper, disappearing into infinity. A master of allegory, French artist Marc-Antoine Mathieu transforms a journey through the museum's hidden vaults into a graphic fable about art, its preservation, and its transmission to future generations.
