What can you do with your nose? In the animal world, your nose can dig, shower, talk, focus sounds, detect electrical fields, blow and suck bubbles, roar, cool off in the heat, and warm up in the cold!
Which nose can kill an enemy? Why does an elephant press its trunk to the ground? What does the phrase "Let's chew each other's noses!" mean in the animal kingdom? Why is a stinking badger unfazed by cats and dogs, but eagles are dangerous? Who uses their nose as a crowbar? Why was an African rat awarded a Cambodian medal? Who is the best companion for truffle hunting? Why do snorkeling monkeys lower their heads below their knees in the rain?
You'll find answers to these and many other questions in this book! You'll find animals, birds, insects, fish, and other creatures from around the world, beautiful illustrations, and incredible facts, the veracity of which has been confirmed by scientists.

Vitaly Konstantinov was born in 1963 near Odessa. He studied architecture, graphics, painting, and the history of Byzantine art. He currently lives in Germany, writing and illustrating books, comics, and graphic novels.

Lena Anlauf was born in the Ruhr region of Germany. From an early age, Brockhaus's pocket guide to animals became one of her favorite books, and snail "sanctuaries" appeared in her garden. She studied book studies and philosophy in Mainz and Leiden, completed courses in literary pedagogy, and a correspondence course in children's and young adult literature in Vienna. She lives in Marburg, works as an editor at the publishing house kunstanstifter, studies the history of children's books, and also writes and designs her own books. "Incredible Noses" is her debut in children's literature.
